White
Box Internship Trainee Program
Now interviewing Winter / Spring Interns 2008
The White Box Annual Trainee Program offers Interns apprenticeships and
hands-on learning experiences by way of actively becoming part of WBX's
dynamic exhibition program. Through the many individuals involved in
the curatorial endeavor, (curators, installers, preparators and other
outside professionals who volunteer to develop trainee interns' skills)
candidates receive a practical and non-traditional training that is
next to impossible to acquire through traditional classroom-oriented
studies.
Eligibility
Interns should be undergraduates, graduate students, or
recently graduated students and should have completed at least one year
of college.
Time Commitment
Interns must commit to at least 2 shifts (10:30am-6:30pm
Tuesday-Saturday) and be available for all installs, de-installs,
openings, and special events.
Compensation
No stipend is available, though school credit may be arranged.
Annual
August Intern Exhibition
All 2007-2008 Interns are invited to organize their own exhibition, from beginning to end under the supervision of White Box curatorial expertise. The exhibition takes place at White Box’s affiliate, The Annex.
